Yesterday (23. Sept.) I decided to go to Seogwipo. The days from the week before were enough to instill in me the desperate desire for nature. Therefore, I went down south to Seogwipo to quench said desire. I visited a known place familiar and loved by me, as well as another place I visited for the first time. I'll tell you more as you scroll down and see the pictures.
The journey began with the bus ride down the center of the island--over Halla Mountain.
I sat at the front seat in order to get the following shots.
We're entering the Tunnel Road: a tunnel made by trees on both sides meeting in the center, above the road.
From downtown, I venture on to Jeongbang Falls.
the river that empties itself out on the falls.
That sign says, "Jeongbang Bridge"
Rare exotic surprise around one corner.
Follow the sign.
Behold, Jeongbang Falls.
My favorite waterfall of the 3 famous ones on this island.
Majesty
Thank you, kind stranger.
I'd hate to be one of those rocks on the bottom.
slightly different angle.
Don't know what it's called, but it caught my attention--especially with that boat on the foreground.
What up . . .
I couldn't ignore it.
A map I couldn't understand, but figured to take a pic of it anyway.
Some more plant life that's probably ignored by many tourists.
"All things bright and beautiful . . . "
Seosom and its bridge from a distance. I love this bridge.
I like bridges.
This one demands attention.
Citrus orchard! Some are ripe, but some aren't.
My next stop.
If you want to know the distance to all these places . . .
There are 3 signs to know you're on one of the many famous Olle trails around (literally) Jeju:
Sign 1.
Sign 2.
Sign 3.
Pear? Behold how it grows from the branch.
It's near Oedolgae. I really wanted to jump in, but I was alone--as usual.
Ah, the lovely bridge from the distance.
same place 2 pics before.
Lovely, is it not?
The clear water calleth me.
Can you imagine this place in the deep of Autumn?
Hmm, kind of dark, but that's my first sight of Oedolgae.
Hello, fair one.
Just a small reminder . . .
3 pics stitched together.
Oedolgae.
Oedolgae and its surroundings.
Cactus flower anyone?
Another angle of Oedolgae.
I couldn't stop taking pictures of this place.
Hmm, I wonder if this was Bolaven or Sanba.
The entrance, but turned out to be my exit.
Wow, talk about a dog's life . . .
Lovely
Was this a humming bird? I'm amazed I was able to catch even a glimpse of it!
Next stop, smaller sign on top.
Things you can find at the World Cup Stadium.
World Seashell Museum.
Didn't go inside, but I was thinking, "a seashell museum? . . . Really?"
The World Cup Stadium.
I started walking around.
Had to get a glimpse of the inside.
If you're wondering in which city said stadium is located.
Sunset and architecture . . . love it.
Parabolic effect.
Racing just next-door!
Olle Trail #7-1.
The other Seogwipo Bus Terminal.
Sorry, I remembered to get a picture of the local downtown terminal just as the bus was leaving the terminal. Well, another reason to go back.
This was fun, although it took a long time--then again, I had the entire day to kill. I say it was worth it. If possible, I'd do it again, but in another area.
