My friend's month-long visit to Korea was coming to a close. It's her last weekend in Korea; so of course I had to spend a weekend with her in Seoul before she went.
From the apartment building Tracy stayed in for a month.
We went to a festival near the World Cup Stadium (sorry, but I honestly forgot the name).
As is customary in a small country with a large population, during the weekends, everyone seems to go to the same place at the same time--especially in Seoul.
But it was still nice.
These were the stairs (291 steps) going up/down.
We decided to take the steady incline road.
Near the entrance, straw people.
Lots of people.
At least Tracy and I were able to do a private photo-shoot for a few minutes--it was interrupted by several people too.
Boo hiss.
Walking out of our "photo-shoot lane".
Towards the observatory.
A view of the 한간 (Hangang/ "Han River")
You can do lots of things along the Han River.
It was time to meet our friend for lunch at Loving Hut (Vegan restaurant chain) at Shillim. Then it was relaxing, talking, and a bit of shopping.
The line to enter the brand-new "Kakao Store."
For those who don't know, Kakao is the most popular messaging app for smartphone users in Korea.
Considering the length of this line (it's about 30 meters/98 feet to the store from the doorway in this picture), you may have an idea of how insanely popular this messaging app is.
So, these were all the pictures. We had a nice time together. I hope we can meet up in the States.
