Chuseok Weekend 2018 in Macau -- Random Shots

I've shared my food, panda, and walk photos. Now I'll share my random shots taken around Macau which didn't fit into either of the previous categories.

First, my hotel: Macau Masters Hotel

Macau Masters Hotel

I filmed the inside of my hotel room and the view from my window.
This was a very decent 2-star hotel. I'd gladly stay again.

Free travel "Handy?!"
I don't know if each and every room had this, but at least my room had its own smartphone. I could take it and use it while I was a guest at this hotel. This was such a God-send! My phone always acts up when in another country (i.e., restarting itself constantly). How great is it to know you can use this phone and not need to get a SIM card (there are fees to pay if you lose/damage it or whatever, so bear those in mind)? What a great concept!

Around Macau

Here are where the random shots really begin.

This was just across from the Gelatina Musang Mok Yikei.

Busy area

Pinnocio's Kitchen? Well, if it works and it's tasty, I suppose.

(Part) of the Galaxy hotel/casino through Macau Stadium.

Old meets new, East meets West.

You can charge your phone on the buses! Genius!

Korea just got rid of this in time for the winter Olympics.

The Border Gate into Zhuhai, China

Macau Hotel/Casinos

The title is quite self-explanatory.

From The Parisian

Inside The Galaxy

A Lego tree building? In China? Why not? (taken near the Galaxy)

Inside Studio City

Quite steampunk-ish

Model of Studio City
I was going to go on that Ferris wheel in the top center (in the shape of an "8"), but it was closed for renovations until Wednesday, September 26th. Major bummer. I was really looking forward to that ride.
Maybe I can ride it one day. We'll see.

Dome in The Parisian

That's it! Those are all the pictures I took during my weekend in Macau.
I hope you enjoyed them. What's more, I hope you become curious about Macau, go there and check it out for yourself.

Chuseok Weekend 2018 in Macau -- Walks

Have you checked out the food and pandas in Macau? If not, click on those word links. If you have, please continue.
This post will be about my 3 "walks."
You'll see what I mean.

First off, the hike on the Coloane Trail...

Coloane Trail

The map of Coloane Trail.

How much of the trail I hiked. One-third, maybe?

Markers along the path.

Below are some of the views I got.

See all those high-rises on the other side of the river? Those aren't in Macau, but China.

Hac Sa Beach

Hac Sa Beach is Macau's black sand beach. I was here last time, but it was night, so I couldn't really see it. Now I could.

You can see the Grand Coloane Resort in the distance.

Hac Sa Beach Park

Hac Sa Beach Camping Ground

Not too shabby.

Can you understand them?

This is a short 360-degree view of Hac Sa Beach from where I was standing.

That was my walk near the water.

Next, my walk in the sky...

Macau Tower - Skywalk

I've wanted to return to Macau Tower and do the Skywalk ever since I saw others do it on my last visit. I decided I was going to do it this time.
And I did.

A short introduction to Macau Tower.

This is where you get suited up.

***The pictures below were taken by AJ Hackett Macau Tower Staff***

Ready? Let's do this.

1st stunt: sitting on a ledge.

2nd stunt: half-hanging from the platform.

Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous.

3rd stunt: Lean backward. My rope was too short, so I couldn't lean effectively (or gracefully).

I'm so glad that rope was very solid.

I highly recommend doing this at night.

Just look at the colors of the lights! Look at that view!

It wasn't so bad.

They put me with this group of Chinese guys. Fun times!

This concludes the post about my 3 walks--on land, by water, and in the sky.
Anyone up for a fire-walk?

Chuseok Weekend 2018 in Macau -- Macau Giant Panda Pavillon

I hope you weren't too hungry after the Macau food post.

As the title of this post states, I'll show you my pictures of the Macau Great Panda Pavilion in Coloane, Macau.

Let's look around.

Main entrance sign (Cantonese & Portuguese)

Another entrance, with slightly more info.

Things to keep in mind.

Giant Pandas

The giant pandas and red pandas are separated.
Off to see the giant pandas first!

A photo op at the entrance to the giant panda pavilion.

There they are!

Their names

I know man, life can be rough.

I love how it uses its belly as a plate/table.

More info.

Info on both giant and red pandas on the premises.

In case you were curious.

Interesting family tree

Red Pandas

Now, off to the red pandas!

Entrance to the red panda pavilion

There he is!

Snacking on leaves

Gonna get a drink of water

He reminds me so much of Pabu from Legend of Korra.

The boy

The girl. She was taking a nap at the time.

Well, that's it for the pandas. Next post, I'll share a few walks I went on: near water, on a hill, and in the air.
