Sweet Road Restaurant and Cafe (17. Sept. '17) WARNING: almost 70 pictures! (sorry)

I had a crazy idea today.
My second school is out in the country. It takes me about 15 minutes to get there by bus.
How long would it take me to walk there?
That's right, WALK.

So I went out to find out.
About 45 physically-demanding, fresh-air-filled minutes. I lost count of how many hills I had to walk up and down to get there. The views, the wind, and the fresh air, however, were totally worth it.

When I got there, I saw the signs to a cafe called "Sweet Road" that I had seen every time I went to and from my school. The road to said cafe was literally beside my school, so there was no way to miss it.
I had never been there, but I was told it was a little far up the road. Well, I had walked to school, why not walk to this cafe as well?
So I did.

It took me perhaps another 15 minutes to walk up there (yes, walk up. It was on top of another hill), but I was greeted with more than a simple cafe...

Almost there, turned around and saw this.

Where I turned around.

My view from where I sat.

Tent-ish without being an actual tent.

Too bad this was off

Would've been nice to see this in action.

Sorry, that doesn't work. (sigh)

Restaurant menu

Translation of the menu:
유황오리 바베큐 (한마리) = duck barbeque (whole animal) 45,000 Won (this is supposed to feed a family)
(반마리) = half animal
국내산 =domestic (not imported)

통 삼겹살 바베큐 = barbequed pork

청둥 생 오리 = another kind of duck

한방 오리 백숙 = traditional spice boiled duck
한방 닭 백숙 = traditional spice boiled chicken

오리 떡갈비 = duck meat in a patty
오리 훈제 샐러드 = smoked duck salad

시래기 된장찌개 = soybean soup with dried radish leaves
압력솥밥 = a kind of rice, I couldn't get exactly what kind.
누룽지 =  rice soup made from the hard rice at the bottom of a pot/rice cooker

This is not precise. If anyone can help with a more proper translation, that would be much appreciated!

Took 1 more look as I left.

A highway leading to a tunnel.

Retracing my steps back, taking in the signs that guided me there.

If only you could smell the fresh-cut pines from this picture...

The road that leads up to Sweet Road, about 500 meters away.

Another sign.

All the signs together at the road entrance.

As you see, right beside my 2nd school.

Lit-up sign

As I was waiting for the bus.

I had a good hike and explored quite a bit. Sure, I could walk back, but I really didn't want to. I'd wait for the bus. I waited for about 10 - 15 minutes, but I got one home.
